Why Do We Blog?

The simple urge ‘to share’ makes us blog!

There are people who blog their entire day. Then, there are people who blog about a certain idea or a concept that stimulates them. It is that deep set desire that drives us to write and share our mind and heart with the entire world.

And it is quite human!

There are various types of blogs. We see photography blogs, food blogs, travel blogs, spiritual blogs and the list is never ending.

When you have just returned from your trip to Sri Lanka, you would love to share it all with other people. And you blog. That would be your travel blog which would talk about the food of Sri Lanka, its climatology, geography, culture and everything else that had intrigued you.
So, its lovely to speak your mind, whenever and wherever you want!

There is my friend called Piree who is from South Africa. She blogs in quite a strange fashion. Her blogs talk about her dreams which she gets over night. Isn’t it interesting? Our dreams could be from out of this world and therefore her blogs often take me through a ride that hardly speaks about the planet I live in.
So, there is so much to think, to speak, to do…and therefore to blog!

To express ourselves in the most satisfying manner, we move towards blogging.
Blogging is about extending some part of our lives to others. Those who blog regularly, blogging comes to them naturally. It is quite comfortable as it does not necessarily demand your writing expertise.

And that is why we blog!

A healthy and steady digital marketing growing potential in India brings close attention for business to break the traditional boundaries in their marketing expenditures. The overall spending on online internet media has been steadily increasing online media on demand.

It is vital to understand both the development of marketing channels and the regional demographic trends to bring desired results of digital marketing planning in rapidly growing cities. Over the period of time VOX360 successfully brought a large attention for small to medium enterprises in these growing cities to go digital using a well planned digital marketing strategy using multiple digital service offering tied up with search media strategic partnership.

Now the trend is to analyze increasing mobile internet users who may share greater portion of the online marketing strategy in India. The mobile internet market is already vast in all demographics in urban areas, next to internet users on tablets and laptops. However there is bit of actual challenge to identify the target audience within native marketing such as users of multiple social media. The numbers of young adults using social media in India is rapidly increasing aged under 28 years and those who shares a big portion purchases are above 40 years, it has noticeable difficulties for digital marketers to penetrate actual market trends.

There are few major aspects in consideration in developing digital marketing strategy.

- ROI driven marketing and its conversion rate : Forecast on actual returns on investment.
- Integrated marketing campaigns : Develope and focus online media planning strategy.
- User Data Analytic : Users data analysis gaining root level importance to focus
- Content Strategy : Content emergence of branded niche to initiate branding strategy
- Contextual Marketing : A well defined content plan to focus – say no to blind run

It all has to stay focus, brings a value to the business with the power of digital marketing.

Last month, we were invited for a Buddhist wedding at Rocky’s Boutique Resort in Koh Samui which is the third largest island in Thailand and is well known for coconut trees and sun-kissed beaches. The island boasts of beautiful tropical waterfalls, coconut trees, Buddhist temples, and small shops. It is located directly south of Bangkok in the Gulf of Thailand and is about a 50 minute flight from Bangkok.

The resort is situated directly on the beach in a secluded cove approximately 1.5 km from Lamai Beach, the second largest beach on Koh Samui. We could see that the location was quite private and romantic. For, the Buddhist wedding three Buddhist monks were invited for the ceremony. The wedding ceremony began with prayer. First, the monks chanted and then blessed the Bride and Groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon which meant that the two different individuals now share their destiny.

It looked so beautiful when the bride and groom lighted candles and incense and all of us clapped and admired the majestic situation. It was followed by chantings and blessing from the monks and special prayers were made for prosperity and good fortune, followed by the cleansing ritual with light splashes of blessed water by the head monk. The happy couple then presented an offering of thanks and acknowledgment to the monks which was provided by the resort itself, in the form of gift hampers, food and donations. To us, it seemed like a heaven as all the ceremonies took place on the beach sala overlooking the ocean.

After the monks had departed, the Bride and Groom took their seats at the Lot Nam Sang which was a water blessing seat. Starting with the most senior representative of the wedding party, a floral Lei was placed around the neck of the Bride & Groom. The water blessing then commenced with each guest showing their respect and offering greetings to the newly wedded couple.

True, content is king!

I am a copywriter and I know that content commands all.

The art and science of copywriting involves strategically delivering words that compel people to read and take action accordingly. It is a fact that copywriters are some of the highest paid writers in the world, but it takes lot of research, experience and passion to make it there. In order to become a truly proficient and profitable copy expert, you’ll need to understand the nerve of the craft. The mantra is to keep the content clear, crisp and concise so that it can communicate with ease.
At times, just an attention-grabbing headline does it all!

And on other occasions, the structure of the content must be persuasive.

No matter, whether it is a long blog post or promotional ebook or punch line, the idea must be to creep inside the minds of the readers or the target audience.
Surely, great copywriters are great psychologists. They know their audiences. They know what it takes to spread the word around the world.

Any copy that is effective makes its promise to the readers. It has to convey that there is lot for them. The promise is followed by the main idea and a main purpose that reinforces your bigger promise. No matter whether you are selling a product or just an idea, the copy must be such so that it has its acceptance in the minds and hearts of its respected people.

…And believe me, it sells!

I love writing. And in my profession, I am bound to meet various people who are somehow associated with writing. Thus, comes the term called blogging, now and then. I often come across those souls who are passionately driven towards blogging. Believe me, they create wonderful blogs that compel you to read.
But, the biggest question is, ‘what drives us to blog?’.

With that regard, blogging is the simplest way to express yourself. In this chaotic panorama of city life, blogging brings solace. It is a medium through which we can talk with ourselves by bringing out the emotions on paper, screen or some other surface. Then, there are people who face the urgency of writing whenever they go through anything interesting in life.

Whenever we learn something new about various facets of the world, no matter whether it is about art, technology or just your food; we feel like blogging because that is how we can share our experience with the world. So, to me, blogging is sharing.

Since, we humans are social animals, we love to share. And therefore, blogging comes naturally. This gives me the answer to why some blogs make you feel so good. The answer is, those blogs are directly from the heart and speak about the first-hand-experience of its writer.

The content that we blog, the time when it is written and the language it is written in; somehow represents our individuality, our situation and our upbringing.

Happy Blogging and Stay Calm With Yourself!

I truly believe, to create is an art!

Website designing is an art that involves the web for its creation. We need beautiful and crisp graphics, effective content and suitable sounds. I have seen some of the best websites of the world. Definitely, an effective website can work wonders!

I have few friends for whom I have designed the websites and here they are, going out loud! They now have enhanced brand identity and an impressive online presence. I am very passionate about design and therefore its works well for me! People come to me to find ways to advertise their products and services and I give them solution through a well worked out website that is cost-effective as well.

I am quite aware about the fact that the website is the first thing clients or viewers go through before taking any kind of decision. And that simply gives the reason about why the website needs to be crisp, effective and appealing. Once your website makes sense, people go on browsing for more and even settle to buy your product from the web page.

And, let me tell you, the web industry is always on the move! After years of experience, I have to say that website designing is a continuous process that keeps on evolving over time. There are great ideas popping out every other second which are to be blended with the right kind of technology in order to get the just-right-website.

Due to the abundant presence and production of new tools and softwares, website designing involves regular updates. True, a well designed and effectively developed web page is an intelligent way of advertising. It is here where you can explore different products, different contents and different features along with their comparative analysis.

Though I create my own designs, I often go through different templates because I get to learn a lot there. I must admit, for a web designer like me, it involves a continuous learning process because I love to give my clients such websites that have a deep sense of innovation and aesthetics. Moreover, web designing requires skilled professionals.

While I design any website, various empty mugs of coffee are lined up before me! Yes, web designing demands time and concentration. Because, ultimately you have to come out with such a web page that can attract millions and can also sell. And that makes it more challenging and that makes me love my job!

According to the various media sources like zdnet Google has brought Business Photos to India with allowing consumers to see inside a company’s premise without actually stepping inside the location. The program allows local businesses to provide Google users a virtual tour inside the business through interactive 360-degree imagery. This imagery can be viewed on Google Search, Google Maps, and Google+ Local Pages.

To get Google Business Photos, business owners can hire one of Google’s certified Trusted Agency Photographers including Indiacom, Jindal RH Interactive, Carbon Tree, and Vox360, to capture the interiors of their premises and displays on the storefront, like business hours, rating details, credit cards accepted, and posted menus.

We are living in the smart world wherein smartphones do all! The smartphones have truly turned the world around. We have everything in there. I am sure everyone is aware about smartphone photography, but what about the real cameras which have a long history following them.

For a person like me, camera is actually like my costume. I wear it, whenever and wherever I go. Definitely, I just cannot miss the real moments of life going around us. I don’t carry my camera just on special days, like many people do because you actually never know about which day can become special for you and therefore camera is with me 24×7.

At times, I wonder about the regal legacy, this beautiful equipment carries with itself.

The story of camera started with the camera obscura, and beautifully continued with Daguerreotypes, 35mm cameras, digital cameras and camera phones.

The age of 1500 saw the first pinhole camera also named as Camera Obscura and was invented by Alhazen. In ancient times, camera was just in the form of a big wooden box with certain specific fittings. Definitely, it was not at all mobile. Nicéphore Niépce took the world’s very first photograph in the year 1814. What a sheer piece of excitement must have been felt!

This wooden piece of box also follows its own interesting history. Photography has been dated as far back as 1021. Photography involved a huge process wherein the filling up of the entire room with the mechanics was witnessed. True, it wasn’t actually photography but just a kind of projection on the wall.

So, lot of research was done and then came Fuji for the delight of passionate photographers. In the mighty year of 1934, the company called Fuji Photo Film was initiated which started producing cameras, lenses and films. Fuji was followed by other big names like Kodak. Kodak invented colour film in 1936 by the name of Kodachrom. The same year saw the very invention of what had revolutionized the photography world since then. SLR, the 35mm single lens reflex camera pioneered by Exakta.

Then, in the year of 1975 came the most lovable feature that made the cameras digital. Credits to a man called Steve Sasson from Kodak who designed the first fully functioning CCD-based Digital Still Camera. Believe me, it was a great hit among photographers!

True, nothing is everything! The research and development on the science and design of camera went on and on. Minolta, in the year 1985, introduced Maxxum which is the world’s first autofocus SLR camera.

For those who love to experiment with different visuals and images, CanonEOS system was developed in 1987 which comprised of all electronic lens mount. Then came the much desired photoshop in 1990 which, I am sure is a favourite of millions of photographers, designers and the likes. The modified version of Nikon F3 gave way to the first digital SLR in 1991 called by the name of Kodak DCS-100.

I wonder what Mr. Mr Nicéphore Niépce must have thought had he been alive till date!

Today, the cameras which we have in our smartphones have their own set of stories. I would like to mention that Japan was the first to introduce the first camera phone in 2000. And hence, another race began!

But, as times change and the system reforms, the old must take their graceful exit! Kodak made a wise decision to stop the production of film cameras in 2004.

Wow…what a revolution…and it is still on!

Last Saturday, I went to my friend’s place. She has a small kid called Jones who is just 5 years old.

While we were chatting, Jones was not at all bothering us, as was expected. She was highly engrossed with her laptop. Such a small girl she is and she was simply unstoppable! I tried to converse with her but she conveniently ignored me. It was Social Media, she was busy with. Can you imagine!

True, it’s indeed tough to sync-in with such a sight!

Within few years’ time, marketing pundits from across the world have conquered small and big time Social Media Marketing mantras. I must say, it’s real time marketing.

Since SMM is soaring high, brands need to adjust to the new 24/7 marketing model. And it is all Social Media Optimization that stands out. For every successful SMM, there is SMO.
There are simple and witty marketing campaigns all over the net, the most important factor with every one of these campaigns is that while they engage and delight us, they also ask for some input from viewers and consumers.

Now, what is observed is that Social Media Optimization (SMO) is an intelligent mode of social media activity with the direct or indirect intent of magnetizing unique visitors to websites, articles, blogs and various other marketing spots.

The biggies that embrace the opportunity are the brands that are celebrated by the public for truly understanding the nature of real-time engagement not because people could get them easily but because they get people easily.

…And it has all just begun, much more to come!

Again, Jones rocks!!!

Picking the right restaurant to eat out can be a tough decision, and it’s hard to judge a place based on its written description and reviews. This is why we created the Google Business Photos program, a Google Maps project that allows consumers to see inside a business from their computer or smartphone. We are excited to announce that the Google Business Photos program is now officially open to businesses in India.
In India out of limited agencies selected fro Google Business Photos, we are happy to announce that Vox360 is one of the leading agencies in this program.

This program gives Google users a virtual tour inside the businesses through interactive 360-degree imagery created using Street View technology. This imagery can be viewed on Google Search, Google Maps, and Google+ Local Pages. In order to get Google Business Photos, business owners can hire Trusted Agency Photographers to capture the interiors of their premises. Along with taking pictures of layout, facilities, and merchandise, these Trusted Agency Photographers will also capture images of displays on the storefront, like business hours, rating details, credit cards accepted, and posted menus. These photos can help customers get a better sense of what a business has to offer and what sets it apart from others.

If you are an interested business in India, visit http://google.co.in/businessphotos and click on ‘Get Started’.
Before officially launching this program today, we worked closely with thousands of businesses in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru,Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkatta and Chennai to pilot this program. Thanks to all the restaurants, bars, retail stores, showrooms and boutiques who welcomed us into their premises.
